The 2011 Work Comp, Labor, and Healthcare Reform Update was held on Friday, April 8, 2011 at the Branson Convention Center with over 100 business executives in attendance to hear featured speakers John Mundwiller of Summit Safety Consulting, Daniel K. Wooten, Attorney at Law at Neale and Newman, and Samuel H. Drysdale, Director of Regional Sales with Mercy Health Plans.
Mr. Mundwiller shared his thoughts on recent developments in the area of OSHA compliance and the newly expanded duties of OSHA compliance officers. Mr. Wooten's presentation was aimed at HR professionals who are responsible for compliance, hiring, training, and terminations, bringing them up to date on the ever-changing legal landscape of employment law. Mr. Drysdale provided an update on what's happened since the healthcare reforms took effect last September and then went over the changes taking place in 2011.
